Be the first to review this product

Lysimachus was one of Alexander the Great's most trusted generals and advisors. This silver tetradrachm is a remarkable coin with fabulous detail and color.

The obverse is thought to be a lifelike portrait of Alexander the Great, staring at the heavens, with ram's horns coming out of his head.

The reverse shows the goddess Athena holding a miniature Nike, the goddess of Victory.

This coin is testament to the respect and adoration that Lysimachus had for his fallen leader, Alexander the Great. These coins were only issued from 305-281 B.C.

NGC has notated light marks on the holder, referring to some hairline marks on the surfaces of the coin.
